Educator. Researcher. Parent. And someone who knows firsthand how difficult managing school bullying can be for the family.

My Background

A whole-system understanding of education.

With over 15 years of teaching experience across the UK and New Zealand, I've worked in some of the most challenging school environments imaginable.

My background is in Drama, English, and Cross-Curricular Teaching Design at secondary level — though I'm qualified across the full educational spectrum, from Early Childhood Education (ECE) through primary, secondary, and tertiary.

This has given me a rare, whole-system understanding of how our education system works at every level — and where it fails children and families most.

I am in the final stages of my PhD in Educational Psychology, due to be completed later this year. My research focuses on the level of confidence and trust parents have in schools' ability to resolve bullying — and how we can rebuild it.

Why This Matters To Me

This isn't just professional.

"When my daughter was bullied at school, I experienced exactly what so many families go through: confusion, frustration, and a feeling that no one quite knew how to help."

I thought it was just us. But when I started researching, I quickly discovered that families across New Zealand and the world were struggling with the same thing — the same silence from schools, the same lack of process, the same feeling of being left without answers.

That moment changed the direction of my work entirely. I had the teaching background to understand what schools were facing. I had the research skills to study the problem properly. And I had the lived experience to know exactly what families needed.

Rally is the result of all three coming together.

What I Understand

Both sides of the conversation.

👩‍🏫
How hard teaching is
I know the frustration of inconsistent policies, the pressure of managing difficult situations without clear direction, and the strain of getting it wrong despite best intentions.
💔
What broken trust feels like
The strain that fractured trust between parents and schools creates for everyone — and especially for the children caught in the middle.
📈
The scale of the problem
International research shows bullying in schools has been consistently increasing over the past 15 years. That trajectory needs to change — and with the right systems, it can.
What I'm Here To Do

Simple approach. Profound impact.

My approach is simple: Identify. Understand. Communicate. Reduce.

By helping schools build clear, consistent, research-informed systems — and by helping parents and schools understand each other better — we can meaningfully reduce bullying and give every child the space to learn without fear.

Because every child has the potential to do something wonderful. They just need the chance.
